Turtle Bay lets you live life at your own pace. The sinhalese chef prepares worldwide favourites as well as a refreshingly creative range of fusion dishes and authentic local dishes. Dining is possible anywhere in the hotel or on the beach. Turtle Bay serves a variety of vegetarian and white meat (fish or chicken) curries that are traditional to India and Sri Lanka. Amongst these are red beet curry, dhal spinach curry and banana pepper curry, to name just a few. If guests wish, the hotel can recommend curries that best fit guests’ dosha types.
Guests can also select fresh produce from local fishing boats’ “catch of the day”, as well as harvest fresh fruit and vegetables themselves at the garden nearby . Upon request, Turtle Bay’s chef is happy to create something delicious from these fresh ingredients.
Depending on the number of guests, Turtle Bay’s chef is happy to give cooking demonstrations and to show guests how to make traditional dishes.
The fully licensed restaurant has a wide selection of wine and sparklings, while the on-site bar serves classic and exotic cocktails along with a delicious range of refreshing coolers.
Turtle Bay breakfasts are sumptuous! Pick from a range of juices, seasonal fresh, ripe fruit such as papayas, bananas and lychees, eggs prepared in different ways, toast and cereals including Müsli. Whether guests prefer a Sri Lankan or European-style breakfast, no one will be left wanting.
